Sioux Empire Kennel Club Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together

Shadow
5/01/1990-11/22/2006
Shadow joined the Boyce household when she was 1-1/2 years old. Shadow took charge of the household for the next 15 years. She was a bright spot in each day. Shadow did not compete, but in our hearts she was a true champion. Shadow was a devoted, loving and loyal friend and she will be missed.

Carey's Nutmeg Honey PT CGC aka "Maggie"
4/7/1995-9/29/2006
Loved by: Tim Carey and Karen Bos-Carey
Maggie was loving, intelligent, protective, playful, sweet-natured and ready for anything, anytime, anywhere. She was an awesome canine ambassador - she made friends with people who were afraid of dogs and scampered on the playground equipment with the kids at the park. Her best friends were an elderly couple down the street whom she visited (alone) on a regular basis.
Maggie loved to perform and learned "tricks" very quickly; she even had her own "computer" for a while!
We have so many wonderful stories we could tell about our girl. It was our privilege to have been loved by such an amazing dog.

Samson Dakotah CDX OA OAJ NAP NJP NAC CGC, aka "Samson"
11/20/1996 - 6/4/2005
Loved by Paul and Marcia Thomasson
Samson was my first Golden Retriever and my Novice A Obedience and Agility Dog. We adopted him from the Humane Society at the age of eight weeks when he was Pet of the Month. Samson humored me by doing agility, but he really excelled in obedience. His high scores in Novice afforded us the opportunity of a lifetime to show in the 1999 "Classic", and he also tied for a High In Trial en route to his CDX. Samson was known for his sweet personality which could light up an entire room, his loving way of leaning into people, and for his constantly wagging tail. We lost Samson to Lymphoma far too soon, words cannot describe how much I will forever miss my heart dog.
